• The M4 iPad Pro boasts a thinner design, OLED display, and a central rib to increase durability. It will be released on May 15 with iPadOS 17.4 and an imminent update to iPadOS 17.5.

• Apple and Google have collaborated to implement a feature that alerts users to potential Bluetooth device tracking, enhancing user privacy and security.

• Apple concurrently released updates across its product lines, including iOS 16.7.8 and iPadOS 16.7.8 for older devices, along with updates for Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.

• OpenAI announced GPT-4o, an advanced AI model capable of integrating text, audio, and visual inputs and outputs, with real-time response and improved language, audio, and translation performance.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai unveiled Project Astra at the 2024 I/O conference, introducing smart glasses with Gemini AI to serve as a universal everyday agent.

Project Astra's glasses come with multiple modes, including Storyteller, Pictionary, Free-Form, and Alliteration, but experienced mixed accuracy during journalist testing.

• The head of Project Astra emphasized the AI's novel ability to understand human communication, including context and non-verbal cues, despite some misunderstandings.

• Google also launched Gemini Advanced for trip planning and new Google Maps features that offer AI-generated summaries and descriptions of locations.
